Summer School

Well hey guys! I promise sometime this week ill try to post a post (haha! that was funny... sorry I have a bad sense of humor) for the word of the week. yea! Well summer school just ended. Thank gosh for that! It was painful. Like someone said (I'm sorry i forgot exactly who told me that...), you basically just left school to get more school. I have to agree. Normal school starts at 7:30 and then summer school started at 7:30. It totally sucked. But! I got certified for CPR!!! Oh yea!! :) I'm so proud of myself! :) sorta.. haha! :) But overall, summer school was very uncomfortable, literally. Since we watched videos and had lots of guest speakers, we also shared the class with another class. We would like switch rooms and stuff, so we would have to push our chairs back. When we did that, pretty much no one could get out. So we basically just stood on the chairs and got out that way. It got really weird and squishy. At that moment, I was so glad that I'm not claustrophobic... or am i... haha. It was kinda sad in health because we learned about all this sad stuff. Sadly, it was REALLY perverted too. UGHHHH!!! So gross! We had this one guest speaker... Oh that wasn't a good experience for me. Ok, so she showed us what a c-o-n-d-o-m was. Yea that brought me back to this moment when I saw one on the floor. You see. I didn't know what that was when I was walking on the street so I thought it was kind of cool. Wow was I wrong. That was not a shining moment of my life. But then we watched a few movies. Weird and sad movies but they were better than watching more tutorial movies on stuff.
On the second to last day, I was walking to the ice cream vending machine and saw this! I thought it was so awesome that I brought my camera on the last day and took pictures of it! I kinda wish I bought one and then took a picture of it. Oh well. I probably will get the chance to go there again. Yea! Well that's it. My experiences of health were sorta good, I guess. Well bye!

Paul the Psychic Octopus

Don't you just love Paul the Psychic Octopus? He is AWESOME! If I had to say, the only thing that I like about the World Cup is Paul and him being right! This World Cup, every one of his predictions have come true. I'm very happy. Spain won! Just like Paul said!
But I still can't believe that it was basically 90 minutes in the game, and that's the whole game, and no one scored. So it had to go into overtime. But yeah! Spain won! Well this is a short post, just wanted to express my love for Paul.
And in first place was SPAIN! In second was Netherlands. In third, it was Germany. Lastly, in fourth, it was Uruguay. Yup! Well that's it! :) Bye!

Health Class

Well I got bored today. We had summer school once again. Bleh! We had to do a powerpoint, on a disease, which was obesity for my group. Well the people in my group were DEFINITELY people I didn't know considering they didn't go to my school. Well it was kind of difficult to work with them since I felt awkward asking them questions. Not the best day but it's getting better. Like today we also took a 90 question test. Luckily it was open book and open notes but I still think I failed. My heart is sad. :'( I officially hate summer school. But the powerpoint doesn't look THAT bad. Sadly, I made the finishing touches and well, I'm REALLY bad with computers.
Well back to tabs. If you checked out my blog recently, than you would notice that i put a new tab named Dum. dum. dum. It basically just talks about some recent stuff going on with other blogs and such. If this is a boring post, well I was bored so it makes sense. :)
By the way, if I had to say, never take summer school. It just sucks you away from having an actual life. If you are a nerd, than that just makes it worse.
But on Friday and today, OH LORD! There was this movie we watched, Food Inc. It is so sad! It talks about how our meat goes from farms and industries to our supermarkets. My oh my. I really want to go to this one place that has pretty healthy meat compared to the ones in the supermarkets. Well people can also go to farmers' markets. Those are WAY healthier than the ones in markets. Plus eating organic food can help our environment. I felt so bad for the chickens, other produce, and the illegal immigrants. It was sad on how they treat all of them. Even though, illegal immigrants were illegal, the companies even openly put out ads in Mexico after America could produce corn more cheaply and sell it for less than the Mexican farmers. Sadly, those companies even made deals with government to take them away. Even though they packed our meat from those companies for more than 15 years, they were treated like criminals. And there was another lady. Because the farmers had to work for the companies and produce a lot of cows and made sure they grow really big and fast, they had to feed them corn. Sadly, since cows are only supposed to eat grass, they started to grow a lot of E. coli. E. coli is needed in our bodies but it is very dangerous if we consume it. That lady and her family, her child and husband, went to a fast food restaurant. I forgot exactly what fast food place it was but after one hamburger, her son had E. coli. Apparently in the meat, the beef had E. coli in it. After, I believe, 12 days, her son died. His name was Kevin. His mother tried to do whatever she could do to make Congress pass her bill to become a law, Kevin's Law. Kevin's Law was to let the USDA and the FDA get back the right to shut down the companies if they had more than a few food epidemics or recalls. His mother fought for her dead son and to prevent the death of millions from these epidemics. She fought for about 7 years. I'm not quite sure if that bill was passed or not. It is the worst thing for a parent to lose their child for a stupid reason. If you ever get the chance, please watch Food Inc. It tells you what is behind your meat and what is actually in the meat. It is sad and cruel on how these industries are to their workers and their animals. If you want to help, try to remember Kevin's Law, sign the petition that is shown on my blog, buy organics, and go to farmers' markets for locally grown foods that are healthier. Also go onto Official Food Inc. to look at more things about the movie too. Well that's it. Bye!

Word of the Week: Ludicrous

Well this is a Word of the Week! Yea! Well there is basically no backstory here but here's some backstory to my life because well I can't think of anything else to write about so yea.
Well right now I'm at summer school taking health! Sad but true. I absolutely HATE health now. Two years ago, when I took it at my ACTUAL school and with Ms. Bourne, it was fun and SUPER easy. Now it is hard! I almost didn't get an A. To tell you the truth, I actually got a B+ on one of my tests. I was so pissed! ARGH! I absolutely hate health now! ERRGGHHHH! Has anyone thought about the source of all evil? I think it would be the people that made summer school. Losers. Who even came up with this idea? Tards. And plus, what is the point of homework and tests? It is just wasting paper that many people DON'T recycle. So it is wasting paper. This was practically my week. First day: horrid. Second day: terrible. Third day: excruciating. Fourth day: painful. Fifth day: disgusting. Let's just say, watching videos about food and how it's processed, like how meat becomes meat into packaging, is not the highlight of one's life. Ughhhh. After that video, I really don't want to eat anything anymore, especially meat. I feel so bad for the pigs, the chickens, especially the cows. Poor cows. Being deprived of their grass. My heart cries for them. Well that is the backstory of my week. Oh yeah! Today I got Mr. Piggy Bear! I can't show you but maybe some other time. Well yea. Here is the definition.

Ludicrous:
definition:
–adjective

causing laughter because of absurdity; provoking or deserving derision; ridiculous; laughable: a ludicrous lack of efficiency.
farcical, ridiculous, absurd, cockeyed, derisory

I don't really know what the last words mean, like farcical, cockeyed, and derisory. But is it me or does cockeyed sound funny? Ok well that's it. Ok bye!

Lifehouse

Well I have never done a blog about a band before, so here goes! :) Well I don't know much about Lifehouse, just that I love their music. I'm actually not even sure if it is mainstream. Hmmm. Maybe someone will tell me. I kind of hope it's not. But somewhere in my gut, it is telling my it isn't mainstream. But oh well? I have to say their songs sound really pretty and beautiful.
Have you ever had a song that just spoke to you? Like, it just spoke to your soul and you knew it was beautiful within. Well that's how I feel about their music. All I know is that there are three members of it (well obviously, you can see that through the picture). Ok just kidding! I just checked wikipedia, yes I know wikipedia, and it said there were for members! whoopsie! well the people that are pictured are Jason Wade, Rick Woolstenhulme, Jr., and Brye Soderberg. Well yea.
I love basically all their songs. Well I basically love all their songs that I know of and Youtube knows of. Yes, I know that sounds ridiculous. Well this is a REALLY short entry. Well now. That's it and look at my next post! It is actually a word of the week! :)
